Call For Volunteers - Help Needed - 2025-2026 Season

Hello everyone,

Thank you for signing up with the Canes for the 2025-2026 season! As we approach the end of registration, we want to cast a wide net in asking for volunteers to help make this season a special one. Our club could not exist without the help from volunteers in various roles throughout the season, and know that you are playing a HUGE part in helping provide a positive experience in youth sport.

Here are a list of positions we are looking actively to fill:

- Assessment check-in: Our assessment schedule will be finalized in the upcoming weeks, and we need assistance with each age group helping players check-in (ie attendance and their assessment #). It is super helpful if the check-in is available for both days of assessments (ie if U10 girls are Saturday/Sunday, the check-in helper can assist on both days). When emailing hhbasketballclub@gmail.com, please put "Assessment Check-In" in your email subject line.

- Head Coach: The Hurricanes head coaches play a pivotal role in the development and experience of Canes players. Head coaches can be parents and non-parents. Though some coaching positions are not finalized until after assessments are completed (ie player placement), we appreciate knowing who is eager to head coach. All levels of coaching experience are welcomed. When emailing hhbasketballclub@gmail.com, please put "2025-2026 Head Coach" in your email subject line.

- Assistant Coach: Assistant coaches are crucial to both the head coach, and every athlete on the team. Assistant coaches are vital for practice, games and off-court planning. All levels of coaching experience are welcomed. When emailing hhbasketballclub@gmail.com, please put "2025-2026 Assistant Coach" in your email subject line.

- Team Manager: Team managers are mandatory for every team, and provide necessary aid in helping with communication and reminders to all players and families about scheduling, deadlines and other important info. Team managers work closely with the coaching staff to help and be adaptable to their needs. You don't have to be a basketball guru in order to be a great team manager. When emailing hhbasketballclub@gmail.com, please put "2025-2026 Manager" in your email subject line.
